How Khan Academy successfully handled 2.5x traffic in a week

In March, as schools started closing, Khan Academy traffic surged 2.5x in just a few days. Our VP of Engineering has blogged about how we handled that traffic.

I’ll warn you that there’s NSFW language in the video here, but Ben Folds putting ChatRoulette folks in front of an audience of 2000 people is amazing. He’s incredible at making up songs on the fly and clearly a great entertainer. This video is from 2010 (clearly there are no 2000 person crowds right now!).
