The unnecessity of Contributor License Agreements

I’ve worked on a lot of Open Source in my career and contributor license agreements (CLAs) have been a normal part of the process for many of the projects. It turns out that there are good arguments to not use CLAs and then GitHub’s terms of service include a clause that essentially does the same thing as a CLA.
